Aye...Its all good!

Maybe this is your first time booking a videographer OR maybe you need more info before investing? Either way - We gotchu!

Its your first step to elevating your visuals from your phone to a film set - Its a big deal!

To help you out, listed below are some questions to think about before booking as well as questions that get asked often

How much is a video?/
How much do you charge?

Now I would love to just spit out a number  - however with video production, there's more information that's needed prior to giving a quote.

The cost of the production, No matter the size, fluctuates depending on the needs of the client and what it would take to achieve their desired visuals.

Things like duration for the final product, rentals, time on set, editing complexity and more.

The easiest way for a media professional or videographer to know how much a video will cost is by knowing the budget amount. It gives parameters of what can and cannot be achieved based on what the client can afford.

Is there tax when you charge?

Yessir! As a business I do charge HST (13%)

After we shoot - is it possible to get the raw footage?

For sure! It is a additional fee however

Do I really need a videographer?

In all honesty…you don’t need one.

My question would be: How much do you want to invest in yourself or your business?.

You can literally learn anything from Youtube or Instagram, grab gear off of amazon (even better use your phone) and boom! You're set.

However…This all takes time. As we know time = Money.

So by investing in a videographer or video professional - you are paying someone with the creativity, equipment and skillset to bring your vision to life.

Thus freeing up your time and energy

to focus on other important tasks.

Do you do Vlogs or Youtube Videos?

We specialize in short form video -  Vlogs on average are more than 5 mins in length/duration which we don't offer as a service. Youtube videos under 5 mins we can!

How does payment work?

We take 20-50% as a deposit at the time of booking and the rest to be paid on the day of the shoot.

We take E-transfers, Debit and Credit

Things to think about before booking...

What's the purpose of this video?

Before investing in a video - think about the why. Why do I want to make this video?

What is it going to do?

There has to be a message or something you’re trying to communicate to someone.

Mind you, You can always just create a cool video - that's always cool.

Although videos with a purpose and a message connect better with audiences of vast ranges.

You’re more likely to get better interactions, shares, comments, when your video has successfully communicated its message to its desired audience.

Where are you putting the final video?

Each platform has desired ways of viewing content. Instagram and TikTok prefer vertical videos; Facebook and Youtube, however, the videos are landscape.

The duration of the video is also key here because on Instagram - the average person watches more 30sec-1min videos than anything else. TikTok can be up to 5 mins however depending on the type of video  - shorter is better.

With Youtube and Facebook you have freedom with the length however 410Noir specializes in short form video content (videos with a duration of 5 mins or less)

Knowing where you’d like to post the video gives more detail to how the video must be created.

Who are we talking to?

If you’re out here just posting videos and you don't have a desired audience -  it's similar to going to the mall and just…talking. Out here just expressing your opinion to anyone and no one.

People walk by…Someone might interact but nothing is guaranteed.

You’ll achieve better results when you actually take the time to decide who you’re talking to.

Videos are communication devices; By posting videos and not knowing who you want to talk to, the impact decreases.

What do you want your audience to feel?

The reason people engage with content is because it makes them feel something. The job as the person creating the video and its messaging is to evoke that emotion.

What do you want your audience’s action to be after the video ends? Whether you want someone to feel motivated and click the “book now” button or pride from seeing a milestone achieved, that overwhelming feeling you want to create needs to be reflected in the messaging, the visuals, and the overall tone.
